Through the expansion and realignment of Federal Street, the firm designed a new parking area, historic building entrance, and outdoor destination to reflect the goals of the IIT Landscape Master Plan.  The firm created a forecourt of woodland trees and perennials in front of the historic Main Building by realigning the location of the street.  Across the street from the building, an enhanced linden allée provides an outdoor gathering space for students where they can gather on benches beneath the shade of the linden trees.
