Loyola University’s Lakeshore Campus is a collection of historic and contemporary buildings with dramatic views to Lake Michigan. Hoerr Schaudt worked with the University to plan for and initiate a campus-wide landscape transformation with a master plan that defined spaces for a new central campus quad, new academic and athletic facilities, and contemplative garden-like spaces. A new landscape at the south edge of the core campus presents a gracious welcome to those approaching the campus from downtown and links the facility to the lakeside walkway.
