Hoerr Schaudt completed a comprehensive renovation of the landscape surrounding Botany Pond in 2004, a cornerstone site within the university system of quadrangles. The goal of the project was to restore this historic site to a condition of lushness with a diversity of plant materials while maintaining its function as a favorite garden destination for students and visitors. In addition to creating an exuberant botanic display, the importance of preserving and improving water quality was another key principle of the design.
