The Hyatt Center Headquarters landscape is a balance in simplicity, form and material. The landscape merges with architecture to become both a backdrop and a foreground. Located in the heart of Chicago's business district, the corporation's 48-story high rise features a curving, block long lobby with artfully composed exterior corner plazas and planters that Blair Kamin, architecture critic of the Chicago Tribune, called "a serene oasis amid the dense commercial canyon of South Wacker Drive."
